Passports & Travel Docs

To travel to Spain, all U.S. citizens need a valid passport with at least three months of validity beyond the intended date of departure. If your passport is set to expire soon or you don't have one, it's important to start the process early. You can apply for or renew your passport through the U.S. Department of State's Passport Services. Routine processing typically takes 8–11 weeks, while expedited service (for an additional fee) takes approximately 5–7 weeks. We recommend checking your passport status and applying as soon as possible to avoid any last-minute delays.

See link HERE for where to apply!

In addition, TSA PreCheck will allow you to skate through security with much less hustle & bustle. This application process can be completed at various locations for ~$78 (some credit cards include this in their benefits). If you do this, don’t forget to include your number on your flight booking information.

Finally, Spain has specific requirements for proof of sufficient funds and a return/exit plane ticket. Financial means may be accredited by presenting cash (at least $875), traveler's cheques, a credit card accompanied by a bank account statement, an up-to-date bank book, or any other resource that accredits the amount available, such as a credit statement regarding the card or bank account. Bank letters or online bank statements will NOT be accepted.

Key things to remember for all guests:

Additionally, due to Sitges being a popular tourist destination, many locals in the hospitality and tourism sectors speak English and other languages like French or German.
